From Idea to Pour: How Our Colourful Watering Cans Are Made

From Idea to Pour: How Our Colourful Watering Cans Are Made

Every great garden tool starts with a little imagination — and for us, that began with a simple idea: could we design a watering can that’s just as beautiful as it is useful?

I started by 3D modelling the first prototype right here in our small Warrington workshop. After a few experimental prints (and more than a few spills!), the design began to take shape — smooth lines, a comfortable wooden handle, and a clean pour that just feels right.

Each watering can is 3D printed using durable, eco-friendly PETG, a material that’s strong, recyclable, and perfect for daily garden use. Once printed, every piece is hand-finished and coated in a layer of clear resin, sealing it completely watertight and giving it a lovely, subtle sheen. It’s a slow process, but one that makes every can feel truly crafted, not just made.

And of course, we’re never working alone — our trusty dog is always close by in the workshop, keeping us company (and occasionally stealing the spotlight during photoshoots!).

Today, our watering cans come in a range of vibrant colours and designs — from earthy terracotta tones to playful pastels — each one adding a splash of character to your garden or greenhouse.

It’s been such a rewarding journey, watching a digital sketch turn into something gardeners can actually use and enjoy. We hope each can we make brings a little colour, creativity, and care to your plant routine — one pour at a time. 🌿🐾
